J C Porto is the author of several Catholic and Christian Apologetic books, including The Mass, which has become one of the best books about questions about the Catholic Mass. His books are written in a bite-size, conveniently organized collection of all the essential information needed for lay Catholics and Christians to understand and practice faith.

 

His series of books under the title A Guy in the Pews, are filled with answers to questions that sometimes we may be too embarrassed to ask or just wanting to know how the Catholic Faith now deals with day-to-day living. J C concentrates on objections many have about Catholic teachings and tackles current issues while presenting the information supported by a ton of Biblical and historical data.

 

The son of mathematics teachers and immigrants to the United States, J C was raised under the tutelage of the Marist Catholic School brothers who follow the spiritual and charism of St. Marcellin Champagnat.

After serving twenty years in the U.S. Air Force clandestine service, J C began and retired from a career with The Military Defender, a law firm dedicated to supporting and defending unique and compartmentalized judicial cases.

J C is active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, d'Iberville, MS., serving as the parish Liturgy Director, lector, Extra Ordinary Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, and is a Knight of Columbus of the 3rd and 4th Degree. He also teaches to RCIA candidates and lectures. 

 

J C's latest book, 10 Critical Moments in the Catholic Religion, Defining Moments in its Tumultuous History, explores a brief compendium of merits and faults of the Catholic Faith.
