A Guy in the Pews Bookstore opened its online-store doors in November 2024 in the town of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, our beach community is recognized as the South's best city to live. This independent bookstore is owned and operated by Dee Allegue, the wife of bestselling author Alberto Allegue.
Our Books
Here at A Guy in the Pews we carry a complete line of Alberto Allegue and J.D. Porto titles. If it's in print, we have it. While we stock a wide selection of signed books, Alberto also signs books for us three nights a week. Upon request, we can personalize new releases and make reservations for upcoming books.

We are also proud to carry books by local authors and an impressive stock of autographed books. For gifts or just that special treat for yourself, we carry hand-poured soy candles, locally made soaps and body care items, promotional Alberto Allegue, and J.D. Porto items from coffee mugs to apparel, and much more.

Because Beauvoir is a short drive away, we offer an extensive Civil War history section.
